The Sarma lab at The Wistar Institute is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant. The Sarma lab explores epigenetic mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases and cancers using cutting edge molecular biology and genomics techniques.

Duties include routine lab maintenance and conducting experiments in molecular biology, cell biology, and tissue culture. Applicants with long term interests in pursuing a graduate degree will be ideally suited for this position. Applicants must have excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills, and must be able to work well with other lab members.

Bachelor’s or Masters degree in a science related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. We are highly interested in candidates with a keen interest in molecular biology and biochemistry. Prior experience working in a lab is desirable but not required.
