Associate Teacher for Quartermoon (ELC Summer Program)

The YMCA of Allard Center in Goffstown is seeking an energetic, creative and nurturing Associate Teacher to support our Early Learning classroom during our summer 2024 program, Quartermoon. Quartermoon is our ELC based summer program that serves youth ages 4-5 years old while coaching campers to build relationships, try new things, make memories, and ensure camper safety all while having fun and acting as positive role models.  We strive to build supportive and empowering teams to help all team members show up as their best and most authentic selves, so that you can learn, grow and thrive during your tenure at the Y.

Responsibilities will include:

• Supporting curriculum and activity needs of the classroom depending on the days’ placement
• Providing age-appropriate instruction and supervision
• Ensuring the health and safety of children in direct care
• Working in collaboration as a team member with other classroom and program staff
• Maintaining professionalism at all times throughout the day

Qualifications and Experience:

• 9 college credits in Early Childhood Education, with at least 3 of those in child growth and development (minimum)
• Associate or Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
• Prior childcare experience
• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
• Must be willing and able to obtain CPR & First Aid Certifications, or currently hold

Work Hours/Pay Range:

• Camp season runs 06/24/2024 through 08/23/2024 and must be able to work a majority of the camp weeks
• Pay range $16 - $19 depending upon experience (40 hours/wk)
